The territory
Between Lake Trasimeno and the Val di Chiana: A Territory Devoted to Olive Cultivation
Our olive mill is located in the Municipality of Castiglione del Lago, precisely in the hamlet of Pertignano del Lago. This area boasts rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards, and farmland. The landscape stretches from Lake Trasimeno to the Val di Chiana, featuring small local woods and panoramic views of Montepulciano and Cortona.
The predominantly clay-rich soils, with occasional tuff veins, create ideal conditions for olive growing. Typical cultivars (Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo, Dolce Agogia) thrive in the mild Central Italian microclimate, producing olives with intense aromas and flavors.
In addition to yielding premium food products, this region attracts visitors thanks to its natural beauty and variety of local specialties—making it a prime spot for food and wine tourism. Choosing our olive oil means immersing yourself in the authentic culture of these hills.
